Salty Mod is an element that one would normally expect to be present in Minecraft since it’s such a vast sandbox game that consists of a variety of different real world elements as well as a whole bunch of fantasy elements as well such as nether. However, doesn’t actually exist in the game by default but fortunately the Salty Mod implements salt into the game. Salt is a pretty useful item that can be utilized for multitudes of different tasks although it might not seem like that on paper. The mod also gives players a pretty convenient storage system for the salt by allowing players to use blocks in order to store it which lets players store huge quantities of the material in a single place. One important thing to note about salt blocks is that they also melt the snow and ice around them which is something that you can use to your advantage.
Benefits and Features Salty Mod
Other than the simple element of salt, Salty Mod also implements a bunch of different salt related blocks that can be used for a variety of different reasons. Perhaps the most important use of salt is that it can be used to preserve things for example food like fried food or even raw fish. The mod even goes to the extent of allowing players to preserve actual rotten flesh but preserving flesh requires a rather excessive amount of salt so it should only be done when absolutely necessary. The mod also allows players to craft a lantern similar to the jack o lantern but made out of salt of course. This lantern can be pretty useful when going out for exploration during the night time.
If you despise slugs and witches then you’ll be glad to know that the salt from Salty Mod can be used to kill them immediately. Even if these Creatures Mod stand near a block of salt then they’ll end up dying all of a sudden and this is quite convenient if you find yourself having to deal with annoying witches often. There are also various food items based on salt like Salmon Soup, Soft-boiled egg and many others. Last but certainly not least there’s also a special armor that this mod brings to the table. Just bear in mind that this armor is easily washed off by water so if you go underwater while having it equipped then it’ll probably be ruined.
