Tron Inspired Resource Pack – If you haven’t already heard of Tron it’s basically a futuristic series that revolves around dueling with shiny and powerful blades on high powered bikes that can go faster than a majority of modern day vehicles. Now, comparing Tron to Minecraft you’ll see that these two things don’t really have much in common and are completely different from each other. However, the Tron Inspired Resource Pack implements various kinds of visual effects and textures from the Tron Universe into Minecraft and it actually works out quite nicely despite these two being polar opposites of each other.
Basically, as you’d expect from any resource pack, the Tron pack doesn’t aim to enhance your gameplay experience but rather to change how the game looks. If you’ve seen Tron before, then you’ll already be prepared for a lot of bright purple, orange and red colored elements scattered throughout your Minecraft client’s game world. Although on paper it might seem like a color scheme that doesn’t synergize with the game’s standard look, it actually works out nicely which is perhaps a testament to how well executed this resource pack is.
Although there are a lot of visual elements to admire in this pack, the highlight definitely has to be the water of it. It looks absolutely phenomenal and quite realistic as well. You’ll actually see the waves move around and crash with each other. This is something that most other visual mods for Minecraft simply haven’t been able to pull off and really gives this pack a massive edge over others. Fortunately, the color of the water doesn’t follow in the Tron styled color scheme so you’ll be able to enjoy completely realistic water in your experience which is a really nice touch.
Another highly impressive fact about this mod is how the developer has constantly kept it updated to be according to the player’s standards. Ever since its release it has enjoyed countless updates such as improved ores, improved vegetation effects, improved textures and even a few new features such as the addition of a new glowstone and some great sound effects that enhance the experience to a whole new level.
The resource pack has been designed by Sir_Awesomness and is available in both 64×64 and 256×256 resolutions which means that players with low end PCs will be able to enjoy it and players will high end PCs will be treated to some excellent visuals.
